Dear Family and Friends, As most of you know, we lost GypsyGrama September 27, 2022. Sadly, one of the things I learned through that journey with her, is that many, if not most people who have experienced the Alzheimer journey with a loved one, walk away when the journey ends. This is understandable, as it is undeniably one of the most cruel and difficult diseases to lose a loved one to. Truly it is like watching them die twice. First mentally and emotionally, then physically. In a word, it's "exhausting" on many levels. So I can understand why so many walk away at the end.
I believe that God has asked me to make a different decision. He has asked me to not walk away, get involved and help create access to a cure. Because I believe that no one should have to suffer the Alzheimer's journey, not your loved one and not you, I've said yes to God.
I thought participating in the 2023 Walk4ALZ this Saturday would be a great first step (pun intended lol). So, please help me support Alzheimer's Orange County by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise will advance Alzheimer's Orange County's great cause! Additionally, you can ask me how you can get involved too. Together, we can make a difference!
