I know personally how it helped my own family when my Grandpa Manny was diagnosed. The support that was given to my grandmother to keep caring for him at home was life changing. The center gave my grandma a safe place to take Manny, with trained healthcare professional, lots of activities to keep Manny active and social. She went to support groups and attended educational training to learn what was to come. My grandpa Manny loved the Dodgers! Since there were in Brooklyn. He coached boys youth baseball and loved the sport. I miss him saying “ Go Dodgers!” We would talk about the sport and it would bring him joy.
