About the Need

Dementia Prevalence
According to Alzheimer's Orange County's most recent estimate, 164,346 people in Orange County have dementia or mild cognitive impairment (MCI)--an early form of memory loss that can lead to dementia. Even more people are expected to be affected in the near future as California's and Orange County's older adult population continues to increase exponentially.
As an already urgent need becomes even greater, Alzheimer's Orange County's services remain more vital than ever to help those currently affected and to help even more while progress is still made to find a cure.

How We're Making a Difference with Your Support

Until there is a cure, we can provide hope with your support. From the first moment that a person starts to worry about losing their memory, to when a diagnosis is received, through the early stages of dementia and beyond, we are there to help through every step to help others prepare, plan and alleviate the challenges they face. Whether your volunteering, walking, donating or all of the above your participation strengthens the movement against Alzheimer's in Orange County and supports a cause that's is only going to become more urgent in the near future.
